The vineyard
Located between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, our vines grow on an Astéries limestone plateau, a terroir similar to that of the renowned Saint-Émilion vineyards.
Les 5 hectares de vignes se présentent sous la forme d’un seul bloc regroupant deux terroirs donnant naissance au domaine : « Closerie des Terres ».
To the north, the “La Bergerie” plot offers a terroir perfectly suited to fresh, structured and balanced wines. This is where Luna, Solstice, Embellie, Écume and Aurora are born.
To the south, the “Aux Verriers” plot is home to old Cabernet Sauvignon vines, producing wines that are smooth, round and aromatic. This is where our Feu Follet and Terra wines are created.
A journey to more life
«Making wine, yes, but not just any way»
From the very beginning of our adventure, working in harmony with the environment was an obvious choice. To create living, emotional wines, we believe it is essential to restore biodiversity within the vineyard. To achieve this balance, we immediately began the transition towards organic farming. Here, there are no chemical herbicides, no mineral fertilisers and no excessive mechanisation.
The vines are also supported through biodynamic practices, including the use of plant-based herbal teas and preparations, as well as respect for lunar cycles.
Our guiding principle: bring life back to our vineyards, to give deeper meaning to our wines — and to life itself.
A cover crop with 39 different plant varieties
Between each row of vines, a wide variety of plants have been sown this year: fava beans, vetch, buckwheat, alfalfa, dill, fennel, coriander, burnet and many others. This diversity of cover crops protects and enriches the soils, encouraging deep exploration through a wide range of root systems. The presence of legumes naturally contributes to enriching the soil with nitrogen, while the staggered flowering periods of the different species help support a rich population of beneficial insects throughout the season. This living ground cover is a key element in our approach: creating a balanced ecosystem where vines, soil and biodiversity work together.
